I am a Psychotherapist based in Philadelphia where I work with individual adults and couples who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational distress, family conflict or sexual issues.
My family and I immigrated to America from the former Soviet Union when I was two years old. I speak fluent Russian and have a strong connection to my culture and am sensitive to my clients unique backgrounds and beliefs. I understand the hardships and internal struggles of trying to integrate the opposing cultural norms and beliefs of my own family with American culture. My passion comes from guiding you to self awareness and powerful insight into what has been holding you back in your life and relationships. This may look like codependent relationships, engaging in self-sabotage, and pushing others away. I am dedicated to helping you find your inner strength and develop fulfilling relationships that you deserve. With my personal and professional experience in practicing self-reflection and acceptance, I can help you live in alignment with your true purpose. Invest in your happiness and growth by reaching out to me for a phone consultation today.
I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Drexel University and my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College. After working with couples and adult women, I realized how significant my client’s sexual identity was to their mental health and relationships. I furthered my education and obtained a Post-Graduate Systemic Sex Therapy Certification from Council for Relationships.
“I had trouble understanding how therapy worked and the success of it. It’s safe to say that I am absolutely a believer in therapy, because without the help that Kira had provided me, I don’t think I would have made such a successful recovery from the most devastating situation in my life. Kira is exceptional!"
